Dublin Simon Community :

We were paired up and given a specific route and people to deliver to.
Solas Project:
2009 - 2012. I spent four years volunteering to help organize and coach the 'Liberty Saints Rugby Club'. This was a start-up rugby team for inner city boys around the "Liberties" in Dublin 8.
We volunteered one mid-week evening, plus a Sat for matches.
Over the four year period, we managed to fund raise and successfully took this group of boys on tour to Scotland and south of France.
I also volunteered in 'St Patrick's Institution' (the juvenile section of Mountjoy Prison).
I helped to run a 'Tag Rugby' non-contact programme for the boys aged 16 - 21 years.
During that time; the prison hosted a number of outside teams from 4th Yr / TY students in secondary schools.
