Ashling Tobin

Experienced professional with over 20 years in working with children, youth, and families, including roles in project management and coordination, classroom management, and subject matter expertise. I have strong leadership abilities that help improve processes and support team success. I am skilled in Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. I can manage multiple projects at once, ensuring they are completed on time and meet high standards. I create personalised care or learning plans, give constructive feedback, and use positive reinforcement to motivate young people. I have knowledge in safeguarding, cultural sensitivity, and conflict resolution. I am dedicated to fostering interactive learning and resilience while paying attention to detail. I possess a Full Clean Driver's License and have completed specialised training programs, including manualised programmes and leadership programmes.

After a submission to the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth by the Action for Children and Families of Prisoners Network, children of prisoners were identified as a group needing special support under action 52. This marked a significant achievement for these children.

In 2022, I represented Foróige to the Cavan Monaghan Education Training Board and secured a contract to run a youth project funded by the UBU Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. I successfully obtained this contract for Foróige. As of 2023, I serve as an elected member of my local national school board of management, advocating for parents of students at Crosskeys National School. In this role, I have helped recruit teachers and support staff and contributed to the overall management of the school.
