The bar is open seven days a week, caters to everyday bar use, and has a function room with another bar where we cater to many private events, such as birthday parties, anniversaries, bingo, work parties, and much more. My responsibilities include opening and closing the bar each day, greeting customers, recommending and serving drinks and food, ensuring the glassware is clean and organized, ensuring the bar area is clean and safe, ensuring there is adequate stock in the bar, changing kegs, recording cash and credit card takings for the day, taking payments for function room bookings, and judging whether customers need to be 'cut off.'

Maintenance Worker

Georgian Townhouse Group
Dublin
06.2021 - 09.2023
  • Maintenance work for townhouses across Dublin City. I worked five days a week because of the amount of work needed to be done on the townhouses and hotels when they were reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic. The work included the indoor painting of rooms, hallways, doors, and the outdoor painting of fences, gates, and walls. Other maintenance work included gardening jobs, such as weeding, cutting the grass, hedging, and other landscaping jobs. I had to build and put together multiple items of furniture for the rooms of the townhouses and hotels, as well as dump older items of furniture into skips and dumps.
