Enda Healy

Working as a member of staff in SRS doing:

• Assisting the clean-up of the yard by driving forklifts and side loaders.
• Helping to fabricate steel in the workshop.
• Welded many different beams and did a lot of fabricating.
• I was working in the spray shop helping spray paint all the steel beams.
• This kind of work required great amounts of teamwork and communication which I felt I brought.
• I got along with everyone in the business and I was always chatty and friendly when working in SRS.
• I never complained about having to do any of the work and always took the task head on and did it to the best of my ability.

Worked with my uncle in the summer of 2021 when I was 16,while I was working with him I did a few different jobs:

• Swept the shed floor.
• Assisted him while fabricating the steel.
• Did a bit of welding myself while working with him.
• Painted gates and various other pieces.
• Travelled with him all over the county to put up gates and railing in peoples houses and in public places such as pubs and restaurants.

This was what I did for my TY work experience for 2 weeks in December 2020.

• I answered a lot of the clients calls and had to deal with any complaints that they had.
• I swept the workshop floors.
• I had to be precise with my measurements when I was measuring the lengths of the timber needed.
• Travelled around to many different houses all over the county fitting furniture.
• Interacted with different people when working in their homes and was I always very polite and friendly.
