  • In-house recruiter sourcing for all salaried roles including Administration, Engineering, Finance, HR, Procurement, Product Development, Marketing and Sales.
  • My scope covered all of our key sites in EMEA - Ireland, UK, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Nordics were some of my main customers.
  • Key project: I was the TA EMEA/APAC project manager on a global team which implemented the new HCM tool in 2020 - Success Factors. This involved brainstorming at the development stage, collaborating with HRIS, intensive testing of the system, checking that the retro-fit modules interacted correctly with the new modules. This was completed within a very tight global timeline. I was then asked to be involved in the training workstream to ensure our HR and TA teams in EMEA and APAC were comfortable with the new functionality.

  • Responsible for all areas of HR in Ireland, UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway & Sweden.
  • Managing recruitment, redundancies, employee relations, monthly payrolls, training and development, compensation and benefits, liaising with legal and union representatives when necessary.
  • Key project: I resolved a complicated pay issue in Sweden that had been in existence for a few years before I moved into the role. This required collaboration with our Swedish legal counsel, finance, the Swedish Union Representative as well as our Swedish employees.

  • Responsible for recruitment, payrolls and benefits for employees in Ireland and UK.
  • Involved in a training and development project using the quadrants of the 7 habits of highly effective people. This was a corporate initiative that started in the Sales team and was eventually cascaded down through other departments.
  • Key project: After a cost increase on our VHI scheme, I did a thorough analysis of health insurance providers to get best options for the company. This resulted in a switch to Hibernian Health (now Irish Life Health) which gave employees increased cover, lower BIK and saved the company €40,000 per annum.

  • Responsible for administrative tasks for employees in EMEA and recruitment of production associates. Duties would include employee registration for benefits such as medical, health insurance as well as time management and holiday balances (prior to having a global vacation system). I would also provide references for leavers and any letters requested by the employees (bank letters for mortgages etc)
  • Key project: Developed an employee intranet site for Irish employees on SharePoint where they could access useful forms, holiday information and key HR policies. This was received so well that I was asked to create a site for the Netherlands too as it was our second biggest location at that time.
