Yazan Sarsour

An initiative started with two other cofounders. Dagon is an advocacy initiatives that aims to save Palestinian cuisine from appropriation to fight the current efforts to erase the culture. my job as a cofounder is to help fund and manage the initiative.

• For 11 months I worked with PARC on research on the socio economic situation in 9 localities

• My work at Al-Sahel was mostly social economic work that included, coordination, mapping key stakeholders, strategic planning, assessments, and M&E
• Such projects include:
• 1.An analysis of the living conditions and needs: this project included an analysis of 8 segments residing in WB (Women, Children, Disabled, Youths, Workers, Employees, Small Business Owners, and Elders), which included focus group meetings, mapping of the camp's landmarks, field visits, and M&E
• 2.Strategy for Qader for Community Development which included an analysis of women, persons with disabilities, and children segments
• 3.AlFar'a Valley Analysis: This Project was a study on the water issues facing farmers and residents residing on the valley, through field visits, interviews with farmers and municipalities were conducted to get to the roots of the issues
• 4.Strategic Plan for Jerusalemite Youth Cultural Forum which included an analysis of Youths and children, segments in Jerusalem
• 5.Strategic Plan for the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture, this strategy required analysis of all marginalized segments in the society, most notably women, children and youths, as well as an analysis on food safety, access to finance, climate change and its effects on agriculture in Palestine

• The main outcome from my internship at Business Alliance was an introduction to multiple softwares, business management and most importantly a deep dive on management software
