During Paris Fashion Week, I worked as a showroom assistant and stylist for Ganni, supporting the presentation of their upcoming SS25 Collection. My responsibilities included setting up the showroom, dressing models for client viewings, and greeting and assisting clients throughout their visits. This role provided me with hands-on experience working closely with new products, allowing me to engage with the collection and understand the intricacies of styling and brand presentation. The experience was invaluable, as it deepened my understanding of client interactions and the logistics involved in high-profile fashion events.
As a Trainee Buyer at Primark within the homeware division, I worked across both the kitchen and home accessories teams. I gained expertise in supplier management, market analysis, and product development through this work. I worked directly with suppliers, developing my communication and negotiating abilities in order to ensure timely deliveries, competitive pricing, and products of excellent quality. A key highlight of my internship was my involvement in the creation of a cities-themed range of coffee tumblers. I worked alongside the design team, offering input that helped shape the product from concept to final approval. Throughout this experience, I was able to make significant contributions to the design enhancements and decision-making processes, which assisted in ensuring that the final product was in alignment with consumer preferences and market trends. During the duration of the internship, I developed a deeper understanding of pricing strategies, planning, and product selection and also obtained solid project management skills by collaborating with suppliers, designers, and internal teams.
