Financial Statements

• Actively manage all aspects of fund audits, addressing audit queries, proofreading financial statements, and ensuring compliance with the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) regulations. Lead the production of annual financial statements, ensuring that new IFRS rules are applied accurately.
• File annual financial statements with authorities such as the CBI and CIMA.
• Perform due diligence visits to our financial reporting administrator.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure an unqualified audit opinion on fund statements.

Operational Management

• Coordinate with administrators and trustees to resolve material issues affecting investor compensation, ensuring proper communication with the CBI to prevent future occurrences.
• Develop budgets for all Irish funds, process quarterly expense adjustments, and review invoices for accuracy.
• Lead the project management for fund launches from inception to completion.
• Adjust minimum capital requirements per updates from the CBI and manage fair value spreadsheets based on valuation committee outcomes.
• Prepare documentation for quarterly company board meetings and participate in discussions surrounding fund restructures.
• Calculate investor proceeds following fund terminations and manage the calculation of fund exposure to CGT in various jurisdictions, while coordinating tax reclaims.
• Supervise authorization instructions for trades, payments to custodians and administrators, and confirm transactions.
• Conduct regular checks on valuations produced by the administrator against our records, establishing reconciliation processes.
• Oversee transaction recording in the Fund Valuation system and ensure accurate market price provisions.
• Monitor collateral and guarantee sufficient cash for redemptions, ensuring excess cash is placed in interest-bearing accounts.
• Provide detailed reports on positions, reconciliations, cash flow, and fund valuation to the Fund of Funds Investment Team.
• Ensure accurate recording of in-specie transfers within and between funds and liaise with the Transfer Agent on investor instruction issues.

Human Resources

• Develop team members to enhance their operational capabilities and foster a positive work environment that supports teamwork and collaboration.
• Create a team charter aligned with the larger company's goals and the mission of the fund management organization.

Recruitment

• Record of successfully sourcing candidates who align with the company culture, contributing to the firm's ongoing success.

Other Responsibilities

• Cover for the Managing Director during absences and monitor the performance of service providers against KPIs.
• Review all invoices from third parties to ensure accuracy and proper recording in the NAV, adjusting accruals to remain current.

• Updating our minimum capital requirements to take into account updated requirements from the CBI.
• Calculation of proceeds to be paid to investors after fund termination/closure. Determining final accruals in advance of closure.
• Developing a team charter which ties into the goals of the larger company, the purpose of the fund management company and the reason why we do what we do.
• Encourage a problem-solving mindset among staff.
• Covering for the Managing Director when on vacation.

Fund Accounting

• Calculating cash flows for debt on private credit funds.
• Dealing with a lot of illiquid securities on a daily basis – i.e. bank debt, options, futures, CDS, sidepocketed securities, revolver loans, etc.
• Completion of private equity funds including allocation spreadsheet set up, waterfall calculations, committed capital calculations, IRR calculations and also calling of additional capital for management, admin and IS fees.
• Reviewing and signing off administration fees, management fees and investor statements applicable to my funds and also covering across the other three funds in my group when there are absences.

Financial Reporting

• Scheduled, reviewed, and delivered periodic financial reporting client service deliverables with a focus on audit assistance.
• Prepared accurate financial statements for complex credit funds, ensuring proper leveling of securities, classification of derivatives and accrued income.
• Facilitated seamless collaboration between internal departments (A&V, TA, Custody, pricing) and external parties (company secretary, fund directors, central bank,
  client , auditors), resulting in efficient workflow.
• Effectively managed and planned new client onboarding processes.
• Participated in client meetings and presentations
• Stay updated on current market issues and changes in GAAP standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, or Irish/UK GAAP.
• Ensured timely completion of necessary filings with the appropriate authorities
• Maintained HSBC internal control standards by implementing all audit points and resolving regulatory issues in a timely manner.
• Oversaw the preparation of financial statements for hedge, IFRS, and UCITS funds.
