  • The role was to control all aspects of financial operations which include P&L, sales, purchasing, debt management, recruitment, invoicing and debtor control
  • Reported directly to the investors and the Managing Director
  • I took the company out of receivership which everyone said was impossible however this was achieved by selling an investment idea to new partners and dealing at very high level within the receivers and Bank of Scotland
  • Commenced the role in March 2013 after negotiating the purchase of the quarry from Bank of Scotland at a discounted price
  • I sold the concept locally to suppliers of the advantage of dealing with the new company and offering credit terms although these suppliers lost financially when the original company went into receivership
  • I actively negotiated between the investors and the current Managing Director to insure the company succeed in its purchase of the business
  • I controlled costs from a startup basis in 2013 to ensure the company made a profit in its first year trading
  • In 2013 every target was exceeded
  • Introduced weekly and monthly targets, debtor meetings and structures
