- I have coached the Crosshaven Junior Premier side for four seasons now, with the aim being to develop the club's own players to help them compete at this level. The team currently sits in 2nd place in the division.
- Prior to that, I coached Crosshaven in the Cork Youths League to 4th place in the U17 Premier Division. This was a monumental achievement, considering the size of the club. The same team played U16 Premier in the CSL after promotion from U15 Div 1 and winning the U14 Division 2 title the previous season. Several of the players I coached played in the Kennedy Cup, and two of them went on to win the All Ireland U16 title with Cork.
- During my time at Crosshaven I've created individualized plans and monitored progress of footballers towards set objectives.
- Assessed physical condition of our players to determine readiness for competition.
- Mentored team members in order to build confidence and foster a strong team structure.
- Communicated effectively with parents, administrators, officials, media personnel and other coaches regarding team activities or concerns.
- I've played MSL Senior with Crosshaven, but mainly in the Junior Premier division as a goalkeeper. I was onto the committee of the club for 20 years from 1999-2020 & stepped down to avoid a conflict of interest as I was coaching the first team. I have held the role as Club Chairman for over 10 years, Hon Secretary & PRO. During my time as Chairman we were shortlisted for FAI Club of the Year, we hosted the Manchester United Soccer Schools & saw a dramatic increase in the fortunes of the club.
