I am a hard working young female who has a very eager interest in the civil engineering and construction industry from a young age, with my previous experience I have gained knowledge, terminology and a growing interest within this industry. My family has worked in construction for over 20 years so I was brought up around it. With my experience, I am able to present myself and any business in a professional and approachable manner, while obtaining a high standard of work. I am motivated and interested in broadening my skills and knowledge wherever possible, additionally I am a sociable person, with interests in extra curricular activities such as football, camogie, fashion, music and going to animal/machinery shows.

Junior Civil Engineer

- Liaised with all parties with respect to all health and safety on site, also carrying out site safety inductions, toolbox talks, preparing risk assessments, method statements and permits to dig on a daily basis.
- Conducted walk around with contractors to plan and agree on how to carry out works.
- Managing logistics and suppliers to ensure all works have materials and supplier on site for works to be completed on schedule.
- Kept. a daily diary to record hours on site of what works were carried out and the machinery used.
- Liaised and managed groundsmen, sub-contractors, suppliers and main contractor.
- Created an as-built survey for the main contractor which included drainage runs, deep drainage with invert and cover levels, all utility services including, public and house connections.
- Carried out surveying and setting out works with a Trimble TSC3 Logger and Trimble GPS, this allowed me to take surveys of utilities, drainage and areas of the site to be quantified for excavation.

- Carried out site visits to assess access and egress, platform for machinery (piling rigs, diggers, lorries), services above and below the ground that may impact works. Liaise and agree the scope of works to be carried out by the main contractor to allow works to be completed on schedule. I also attended on site meeting with the operations director and contracts manager to discuss more in depth challenges with the client.
- Prepare the on site health and safety paperwork to all-risk assessments and method statements to be prepared for the client, assessing the on site risks. and ensuring the permits to work arena place prior to installation works commencing.
- Liaising with client, architects and engineers to allow me to carry out the desktop analysis of all the setting out information required for all contracts
- Liaised with the design department around the design drawings and overlaid the design drawing onto the clients site layout, while checking for discrepancies and tolerances.
- Liaised with site and clients to establish setting out stations, carried out the setting out on site as required to tolerances of 5mm while ensuring the setting out information was recorded before leaving site.
- Carried out on site surveys of all of the installation works, checking that the works have been carried out to the design tolerances. Providing as-built information as necessary when installed works were out of tolerance to allow for remedial works to be designed by design department.
- Ensure that each drawing, survey and any site information was stored in the correct file and named correctly.
- Liaising with up to 10 site crews to ensure setting out and surveys were carried out efficiently to ensure smooth installation works to be done.
- Regular meetings with the operations director to discuss prior, current and upcoming jobs and keeping up to date with the programme.
