Sarah Quinn

I am currently employed at Dunnes Stores in Thurles Co.Tipperary. My Duties in this role are :

• To stock and rotate shelves sufficiently.
• Helped customers find specific products, answer questions, and offer product advice.
• Provide customers shopping for them using the stores "Click and Collect" service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor area at all times.

I recently completed my 3rd year placement in Resilience Health and Social care in Holycross, Co.Tipperary. This service was located in a residential house caring for people with disabilities.

My duties were:

• To transport service users.
• Provide service users with healthy balanced meals.
• Personal Care
• Cleaning
• Taking service users out for activities e.g going for coffee/lunch, sensory drives, attending sensory rooms
• Assisting filling out daily notes
• Building positive professional relationships with service users.
• Adhering to company policy and procedures.

While on placement here I completed training:

• Positive Behavior Support Training
• Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Difficulties Training

I completed my 2nd year placement in Youth Work Ireland Tipperary in Thurles. I worked with a range of different groups all from the ages of 6-17:

• The Syrian youth project
• The North Tipp Traveler Youth project
• The Thurles Educational Support Club

My duties were:

• To provide food for the service users
• To provide educational support
• To organize and participate in arts/crafts/games with them
• To provide a safe place for the groups for after school
• Work as a team with the staff to organize what activities we will be conducting with the youth and what groups we would separate into during homework time
• Attending trips with the service users

While on placement here I completed Youth Work Ireland's Child Protection Awareness Programme

I worked as a relief support worker in two residential houses of the service. My duties were:

• Caring for each service user in a professional manner.
• Filling out paperwork (Daily notes, food diaries, BM charts, Daily/weekly cleaning checklists, Fire safety checklists, shift planner etc.)
• Providing service users with healthy balanced meals
• Cleaning & Laundry
• Transporting service users
• Personal Care
• Assisting service users who used wheelchairs
• Managing each service users finances

While being employed here I completed fire safety training.

My duties included:

• Working on the tills. This included checking out customers and interacting with them in a friendly, courteous manner while assisting them with anything they needed/wanted.
• Working on the deli. This included preparing the food for customers, providing the customers with food of their choice, cleaning, preparing food for the next day , rotating/date checking food in the fridge and freezer and filling out paperwork.
• Rotating and stocking shelves efficiently.
• Maintained records related to sales for store management.
• Cleaned shelves, counters and tables to maintain organized store.

While being employed here I completed training:

• food safety level 1 (introduction)-2022.
• Food safety level 2 – 2022
• Mood ice cream- new range 2022 (module 2)
