Sarah FitzGerald

I am a very detail-oriented, driven and creative person with expertise in schedule management, effective communication, and leadership. I am committed to utilising creativity and organisational skills to achieve excellence in classroom environments while pursuing opportunities for professional growth.

I have a keen interest in sport. I play Camogie for my local club, Kilcormac Killoughey (KK). I currently play Senior for my Club and have played at all levels for my Club and county, including reaching two All-Ireland Minor camogie finals in 2021 and 2022, winning one. I have enjoyed many successes with numerous camogie teams, accumulating 15 County medals, 5 Leinster medals and 2 All-Ireland medals. I have completed Coaching and Referee Courses. I helped coach the U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 KK Camogie teams and I had taken on the role as selector on our Junior KK camogie team. Due to the success of our Junior team winning the Junior League and Championship, I am after taking roles as selector with the Offaly Camogie Minor panel and KK intermediate panel for the upcoming season.

I have recently completed the Royal Irish Academy Grade 6 piano exam and passed with Honours.

I have always loved working and handling animals. I grew up with cats and I continue to have cats to this day. I fostered cats with the O.S.P.C.A. as a transition year project and continued on after TY.

I was a member of Drumcullen Foróige Youth Club for 5 years where I was involved in organising litter picks, painting and maintaining the local cemetery, attending leader meetings learning about team work, communication and leadership.

I was the elected Secretary of my School's Student Council for 3 years and I was on

my School's Student Council for my entire secondary school education. I held the

position of Chairperson of the Green Schools Committee for the last 3 years I was

in school and I was also a member of the Healthy Ireland Committee in my school.

I completed five courses with the Centre of Talented Youth Ireland (CTYI).

I was a member of the Irish Webwise Youth Panel between 2018 and 2021.

I have completed the Bronze Lifeguard certificate accredited by Water Safety Ireland.

I have completed a Law Course offered by The Law Society of Ireland.

I participated in a Construction Industry Federation competition, the brief of which was ‘A Home for Everyone'.

I completed a course on CPR with the Irish Heart Foundation.

I received my Gaisce Bronze level and completed the Future Leaders programme in 2021.
