I have a 1st Class Honours degrees in Geography from Maynooth University and am awaiting my final grade in MSc Climate Change also from Maynooth University. I believe I have a strong work ethic and a commitment to doing quality work as evidenced by my academic achievements to date and my summer work record.
Through my college career, I have acquired various skills especially in data analysis, modelling, technical reporting and broad knowledge on the environmental impacts and science of climate change. My MSc. Thesis, supervised by Prof. Conor Murphy, assessed projected low flow changes in 38 Irish catchments in the 2080s and the potential impact on Irish water resources. I have worked well in team environments in academic and workplace settings. For example I participated in an important data rescue project which required close collaboration with fellow students, Maynooth professors and Met Eireann professionals.
JBA's commitment to sustainability and resilience to climate change makes it an attractive company for a graduate such as myself to develop both professionally and personally. While I have not yet acquired work experience in the climate change area, I have transferable technical skills and experience in project delivery. To date my main area of interest has been in hydrology but I am keen to broaden my knowledge in other areas and to work with and learn from experienced people.I would be delighted to get an opportunity to meet to discuss the role.
