  • Dived straight into the NBI project where I submitted plans daily to the customer receiving a 100% Right First-Time score in my first 6 months, which hasn’t been done before or since
  • Due to my experience, I was asked to help compile documents which have since become an industry standard in identifying and working around ESB conflicts in the field
  • This has since be used in health and safety protocols and has led to the H & S team consulting me on different situations while on site
  • Also helped compile documents on civils around heritage/protected sites such as the ring of Kerry and Connemara national park to name a few
  • After a year I was promoted and I was asked to lead 3 separate teams based on different parts the world on creating designs for NBI
  • This involved training and ensuring that their designs were correct and cost effective, all while managing my own workload
  • Held meetings with management and customers on cost saving techniques we could implement internally and with our customers making me the POC for all design/cost queries within the project
  • Liaised with survey/build teams in the field where I gave them real time information to solve issues and problems

  • Started on the EIR project doing redesigns in Irish towns using ArcPRO
  • Planning out routes for the Build Team and in regular contact with them throughout the day to solve problems instantaneously in the field
  • Using tools such as QGis and ArcOnline started doing redesigns for Irish Towns in the NBI project
  • In constant contact throughout the day with Clerk of Works and Build Teams ensuring that designs were submitted correctly and on time
  • Took charge of Quality Control where we would make sure designs were correct, cost effective and ready to be implemented by the Build Teams
  • Working with surveyors out in the field compiling quality reports on existing infrastructure making sure it was fit for purpose
  • As management seen me excelling in my role, they promoted me to team lead where I led a team of 8 people in various town designs, having to delegate work while also continuing to stand out at my own workload
  • I would have daily meetings with council representatives and customers on cost effective solutions and designs, while adhering to rules and regulations
  • Training new starters on design tools, rules and standard working practices
