Roseanna Bailey

Enthusiastic and dedicated secondary Maths teacher with experience teaching across Junior and Leaving Cert levels in Irish-medium schools. Skilled at creating inclusive, engaging lessons tailored to diverse student needs, with particular strengths in algebra, technology integration, and classroom management. Passionate about helping students build confidence in numeracy and achieve their full potential through clear, supportive instruction. Also actively involved in school life beyond the classroom, having participated in LGFA coaching and support for girls’ football teams.

I am a three-time All-Ireland winner and also a four-time Connacht winner with Galway Ladies underage teams u14 and u16, bringing strong leadership, teamwork, and motivation skills to both academic and sporting environments.

• Sports Enthusiast – I enjoy watching football and rugby, whether at home or travelling to matches. I also know a little bit about table tennis as well through my brother playing when he was in a wheelchair.
• Sewing and Creativity – In my spare time, I enjoy sewing and colouring which allows me to relax and express creativity in a focused, patient way.
• Promoting Gaeilge – I have a strong interest in the Irish language and culture. I place high value on building students’ confidence in Gaeilge throughout the year, especially during events like Seachtain na Gaeilge, where I actively promote participation and pride in the language.

Growing up with a brother who lived with disabilities throughout his childhood instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and a desire to help others—especially students who face educational, emotional, or personal challenges. I strive to build a supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued, capable, and understood.
