Affiliations

My interests include Golf, where I am treasurer and part of the handicap committee responsible for the handicaps of all members, I also train and manage teams in GAA as well as rugby, and volunteer as the fitness instructor in keep fit classes locally.

I volunteer with the local underage teams as a coach and have being garda vetted.

Accomplishments

  • I have represented my country with the UN and EU on peace keeping, peace enforcement and training missions around the world. And have done so to the highest standards, most recently having been awarded a certificate of competency from an EU representative in EUTM Mali.
  • On my first venture into football coaching I trained a Gaelic Football club in Meath and led them to Division 1 for the first time in their history. I also have many local GAA honors through the years from playing with my local team. As well as multiple local golfing achievements.
  • Represented Ireland whilst overseas and competed in inter contingent competitions from military skills to football.
  • I have led multiple shooting teams to various honors over a 16-year period within the Irish Defence Forces.
