I am a rapport-building banking professional with expertise in Corporate Investment Banking, Finance and Administration, Audit, Management Consulting and General Management, inter alia, with skill sets garnered from over 26 years' experience to date in the employ of two reputable Commercial Banks and 3 of the big 4 Audit and Accounting Firms, amongst others.

My most immediate experience is in Corporate Investment Banking and includes roles in Credit Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Workouts, Strategy and Client Relationship Management over the last 11 years.

  • Championed the bank's strategy to drive an agenda nationally for the reformation of the water sector by improving its bankability.   • I was tasked with originating infrastructure projects nationally and within the region with both existing and new relationships.
  • A project finance portfolio of important infrastructure consortia was also assigned to me to manage their relationships with the bank to and ensure revenues and opportunities were optimized. The portfolio consisted of airports, rail, road and water concessions inter alia.

  • In South Africa my responsibilities covered exposures of large listed and unlisted entities with highly sensitive relationship aspects, divergent stakeholder interests and potentially material impairment implications for the bank’s balance sheet. I was entrusted with material non-public information which I used in the formulation of risk and client relationship strategy for consideration by the Credit Committee.
  • I was a permanent member of CIB’s sub Credit Committee. I also was an invitee of the Rest of Africa’s Credit Committee for matters I have responsibility for in the region.
