Working at a well established horse stud company offering a full range of stallion services such as boarding, stud and paddock management. Responsible for providing horses with exceptional care tailored to their individual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Mucking/skipping out, bedding down and sweeping the yard
Preparing feeds, adding medicines or supplements to equines food
Feeding, haying and providing water for equines
Keeping allocated areas tidy such as the feed room, tack room and storage areas
Keeping the yard tidy and safe in line with health and safety regulations
Turning out or bringing in from the field/caring for equines living out in the field
Ensuring there is enough grazing and the correct amount of land for all the equines
Keeping health records of all equines, including: vaccinations, de-worming and shoeing
Riding & Training Techniques: Schooling, schooling green horses, groundwork, lunging, jumping, dressage, hacking, and behavioral modification
Equine Care & Health: Grooming, tacking, bandaging, feeding, recognizing health issues, administering medications, and Equine First Aid
Exercised and trained horses using classical dressage techniques, enhancing performance in local competitions"
