After working in hospitality for many years I have gained a great skill level for customer communication, problem solving and team management. With my experience in construction I have also learnt to enjoy some of the "dirty work" involved with jobs.
I work extremely well in team environments due to my past work experience, as well as my participation in team sports from the age of 5.
I enjoy working with new people and I get on with everyone I have worked with in the past.
Currently I am seeking a job which I can start immediately or as soon as suited. I am available full time, Monday-Sunday until the 19th of January. After that I will be available part time on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays while occasionally being able to fill in during the week if needed.
On my internship with ALA I worked alongside a team of highly skilled landscape architects, planners and designers to produce both large scale developments(Parks, Car Parks & Housing) and private gardens.
I gained a high skill level in AutoCAD and worked on other software like Excel and PowerPoint.
I communicated with Engineers, Architects and Development Managers on different projects, working from initial design concepts all the way through to finished plan & sectional drawings.
When working in Vancouver I gained skills in heavy machinery operation, planting, hardscaping and further insight into design importance, clarity/ readability and understanding.
In River Valley I worked on a variety of activities like electric go-karts as a Marshall, archery and in activities reception.
I dealt with customers concerning issues and challenging situations.
Worked with specific booking software.
Sent emails concerning customer questions and issues.
I also helped train in new staff as they came in to the environment in order to keep an efficient and friendly work environment.
Worked alongside a team, communicated clearly and dealt with customers accordingly.
Assisted in preparation of a diverse range of food and beverages to meet customer expectations. Maintained cleanliness and organisation of café area to ensure a welcoming environment for customers.
In my limited time at The Coffee Shop I worked on the floor serving customers, behind the counter making coffees, etc and worked in the kitchen doing basic food preparation and cleaning.
Here I further improved on my hospitality skills.
Worked on a variety of activities within the holiday park, dealing with customers on those activities, as well as working at the reception desk.
