Since February, Peter has worked as an associate in a team of approximately 60 people for various partners. His experience includes:

  • Acting for a pre-eminent US poultry business in complex litigation involving allegations of fraud and the liquidation of various companies to secure the return of funds to our clients.
  • Acting for a major budget airline in a variety of cases involving screen-scraping, copyright infringement and passing off.
  • Acting for an international hospitality company in respect litigation arising from its acquisition of an Irish school dinner provider.
  • Advice to the preeminent Irish airport authority on issues of employment, including potential defamation claims.

Post-qualification, Peter worked as a core part of a team of between 12 and 20 solicitors. His experience includes:

  • Advising Georgetown University on defamation proceedings initiated in the High Court in a personal capacity by a prominent libel lawyer.
  • Pre-publication review of academic papers detailing human rights violations in legal proceedings around the world for TrialWatch on behalf of the Clooney Foundation.
  • Defending various Amazon entities and a related production company in defamation proceedings brought by an individual in response to a docu-drama, resulting in a successful settlement.
  • Obtaining summary judgment on a sum of $185M from the Commercial Court on behalf of a major US lender.
  • Providing on-going regulatory advice to an Irish agri-services PLC in respect of international sanctions, including representation at arbitral tribunals across the European Union and United Kingdom.
