I am a highly motivated professional with over twenty years’ experience in the financial sector, working primarily within Operations at Citi, a Tier One Investment Bank, and more recently at TP ICAP, the world’s largest inter‑dealer broker. My career spans a wide range of roles across multiple functions, giving me deep front‑to‑back knowledge of investment banking and inter‑dealer broking. This breadth of experience has strengthened my expertise in process management, operational risk, controls, and reporting.
I bring over fifteen years of people‑management experience, consistently leading high‑performing teams in fast‑paced, highly regulated environments. I have a strong passion for developing talent and a proven record of building teams that consistently meet and exceed expectations. In addition, I have a well‑established track record in delivering complex change initiatives, working in close partnership with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance at both regional and global levels.
As part of a major TP ICAP organisational change programme, I am currently leading the transition of our team’s processes from Belfast to Manila. This follows my earlier success in overseeing the relocation of the Citi Belfast Settlements team to Pune in 2010. These large‑scale transition projects have given me extensive experience in redesigning operating models, strengthening control frameworks, and ensuring service continuity during periods of significant change. They have also enabled me to build strong cross‑regional partnerships, enhance process efficiency, and gain a deep understanding of global delivery models and the cultural, operational, and governance benefits they create.
I currently lead the EMEA Operations Risk & Control function, with full end‑to‑end accountability for internal reconciliations, operational governance, and the delivery of high‑quality management information (MI). My team ensures the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all Operational reconciliations, while producing comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly MI packs with key risk indicators (KRIs) that enable informed senior‑management decision‑making. The team is also responsible for creating and developing MI packs and internal reconciliations, for senior management and operations. Partnering with internal stakeholders (Ops teams, Tech, Risk, Compliance) to create and enhance these.
Key Responsibilities:
I managed an equity settlements team within the Cash Equities department, covering Broker Dealer, Stock Loan, Prime, and Syndicate activity. I led the team in delivering high‑quality transactional processing support across these products while driving initiatives to increase STP, strengthen controls, and ensure full adherence to audit and compliance standards.
I provided cross‑coverage for fellow managers and supported team members during peak‑volume periods to maintain operational stability. I applied strong technical knowledge to enhance service quality and operational efficiency, while actively contributing to activities related to procedural compliance and control governance.
I also focused on risk mitigation by deepening my understanding of procedural requirements, and I maintained ongoing awareness of product changes and system enhancements to ensure the team operated effectively in a continually evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In my role as a Regulatory Compliance Manager, I provided leadership and strategic oversight for the Compliance Operations team. I was responsible for developing and expanding the Regulatory Compliance pillar by establishing strong internal and external business partnerships. I also played a key role in shaping and supporting the Assurance Centre of Excellence, while contributing to the continued growth and maturity of the Compliance Testing & Monitoring and Technology Risk Compliance pillars.
Key Responsibilities:
In my role, I reviewed, oversaw, and executed Trade and Transaction Reporting validation and reconciliation of exceptions related to trade and transaction data submitted to regulators (including the FCA, PRA, CBI, and BaFin), Debt Management Offices across the UK and EMEA, and Stock Exchanges such as the LSE and ISE. I was also responsible for working collaboratively with Operations, Compliance, and business partners to support the onboarding of new PRA and CBI reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
In my role as Team Lead within the QA Transaction Reporting team—part of the EMEA Operations Regulatory Control (ORC) function—I oversaw periodic quality assurance reviews of Transaction Reporting data submitted to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for designated business days. The team’s mandate was to ensure full compliance with FCA guidelines, requiring regulated firms to maintain complete and accurate Transaction Reporting.
I led the team responsible for reviewing and reconciling data submitted by the firm’s regulated entities across Equity, Fixed Income, Listed, and OTC Derivative products, prioritizing issues identified through testing and ensuring timely resolution. The Operations Regulatory Control (ORC) group operated as a centralized control function within Operations, accountable for the oversight of key regulatory activities, including FCA Transaction Reporting and Client Money and Assets (CASS).
Key Responsibilities:
I was originally a member of the OTC Derivatives team and was then promoted to the investigations team. My role required the investigation and remediation of post value settlement disputes raised by the counterparty.
Key Responsibilities:
For the past number of years at TPICAP, I served as the Belfast Site Lead for the Charity and Volunteering Committee. In this role, I oversaw the planning, coordination, and delivery of the firm’s charitable initiatives and community engagement activities. I worked closely with colleagues, local organisations, and charity partners to identify impactful volunteering opportunities, increase employee participation, and ensure successful delivery of fundraising events.
Under my leadership, the committee achieved several notable milestones, including raising £32,729 for charitable causes in 2025, reflecting the team’s strong commitment to giving back to the community. I also provided guidance and direction to committee members, helping to embed a culture of social responsibility across the Belfast office
