Paddy Dunne

I was appointed Manager of Clonaslee the following season for 2024 where we came from the previous year in 2023 from relagation to the Senior B football final unfortunately we lost. But did win the Division 2 league.But from the previous season, we had a professional outlook from the start and definitely made progress.

• Organized pre-season camps for team development and preparation.
• Organized and scheduled team training sessions.
• Analyzed game footage to identify areas of improvement.

I was approached after the Intercounty Championship came to an end with Laois, Clonaslee Gaa had lost there Manager a week before 1st round of senior Championship, I had the task of coming in with a new manager to help and try to turn around the season and unfortunately went down to the last game where we survived relegation winning the final and remaining senior.

• I was appointed as the Kickout coach, Defensive coach, and Selector for the Laois Senior Footballers in January 2023, under Manager Billy Sheehan.
• Analyzed game footage to identify the strengths and weaknesses of opponents..
• Organized and led practice drills to improve the defensive skills of players..
• Evaluated player performance in order to determine areas needing improvement or reinforcement.
• Monitored player performance on a daily basis and provided feedback for improvement.

• I accepted the manager's job again in 2019 after taking the year off to coach in 2018.
• Won the Intermediate Championship in 2019.
• Lost the Leinster semi-final.
• Senior football 3rd Round in 2021.
• Division 2 League Champions, 2021.
• Senior Football Quarter Finalist 2022

I left the team in 2022 after bringing them from theJunior championship to the senior championship in 3 years. The team is currently still playing in the Senior Football Championship, and along with Portlaoise, they are the only dual club participating in both Hurling and Football in the senior championship.

Demonstrated strong adaptability working concurrently within both aspects of a dual club.

• U21 Champions in 2015
• Laois Junior A champions in 2016
• Leinster Junior Football Champions, 2016.
• I managed the team and also did the coaching, as I feel I have a hands-on approach. This was my first coaching experience, but bringing through the U21 champions and instilling them into the junior team helped achieve the championship.
• After gaining promotion to Intermediate level I took a year out and studied the psychological side of football also keeping up attending coaching workshops.
