• Ensuring that all the horses are well-fed. This involved feeding them according to their specific needs, and maintaining their coat, mane, and hooves.
• Regularly checking all horses for any signs of illness or injury. Ensuring that they are all fit and healthy.
• Assisting at the sales in Tattersalls, Ireland.
• Exercising horses by being lunged, or by being put on a walker.
• Other responsibilities included cleaning stables and facilities, while also carrying out general farm labor.
• Driving tractors and other machinery.

• Experienced in working on a stud farm, caring for mares and foals during the foaling season.
• Experience in working on yearling yards that included general care for horses and the exercising of yearlings.
• Holding horses for the vet and farrier.
• Cleaning out stables and other general farmyard work.

Growing up, all my spare time was spent on the family farm, where I first got the enjoyment of working with animals. Today, we have a herd averaging 60 cows, who calve each spring, that will eventually be sold for beef production. Working here is more a pastime than a job, and I would have experience in all aspects, from livestock work to driving heavy machinery.
