2.Based on assessment findings, create personalized care plans that address the specific health needs of each patient.
3.Regularly evaluate and update care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patient goals are being met and that the care provided is effective.
4.Safely administer prescribed medications, following correct dosages, times, and routes. Nurses must ensure that individuals with intellectual disabilities, who may have difficulty communicating, understand their medication needs and follow their regimens.
5. Assist patients with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, mobility, and other basic daily activities, while encouraging independence and self-sufficiency to the extent that is possible.
