1.Perform initial and ongoing assessments of the physical, emotional, and psychological health of patients with intellectual disabilities

2.Based on assessment findings, create personalized care plans that address the specific health needs of each patient.

3.Regularly evaluate and update care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patient goals are being met and that the care provided is effective.

4.Safely administer prescribed medications, following correct dosages, times, and routes. Nurses must ensure that individuals with intellectual disabilities, who may have difficulty communicating, understand their medication needs and follow their regimens.

5. Assist patients with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, mobility, and other basic daily activities, while encouraging independence and self-sufficiency to the extent that is possible.

6.Provide care in situations where patients display challenging behaviors due to their intellectual disabilities.

• To provide basic nursing care to the patients
• To administer the medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• To observe patients response and adaptation to illness and treatment
• To teach self care and counsel on health matters
• To supervise or guide the patients in rehabilitative activities related to daily living
• To provide service in co-operation with paramedical groups in total to meet the physical, psychological, spiritual and social

• Delivering high quality patient care which is clinically effective and evidence based
• Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses as well as logging them in records
• Assisting patients with all aspects of their medication, treatment and rehabilitation
• Supervising and assessing junior nurses whilst they are on the ICU and clinical practice
• Ensuring that a patient's physical, emotional and social needs are met at all times
• Championing a culture of high quality care, clinical excellence and clinical challenge
• Working late, early and night shifts as well as weekends and not afraid of taking an extra responsibility

• To monitor exact, detailed reports, and records of the critical ICU patients
• To monitor and record symptoms and changes in patient condition and inform to the physician
• To carefully observe and document patient's medical information and medical signs
• To modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient's response and conditions
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications as per doctor's order
• To assist physician with procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, and endotracheal intubation
• To assess patient's pain level and sedation requirements
