I am currently working as an over-the-counter sales assistant in a pharmacy. My role includes the following,

• Advising customers about over-the-counter medication.
• Serving customers and answering their queries.
• Ordering stock and merchandise and regular shelf restocking.
• Balancing the cash till daily, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Participation in loss prevention efforts, contributing to shop security.
• Helping customers locate appropriate products in the pharmacy.
• Working as part of a team.
• Communicating with customers to determine their needs.

I worked as a retail supervisor for the front of store operations in Tesco. My roles included the following.

• Creating monthly staff rosters that ensured staffing numbers and the allocation of staff holidays.
• Managing staff daily rosters and allocating of staff to the various tasks in the checkouts / front of house operations to ensure customer service.
• Daily front end reports that show the activity of the checkout area which are reviewed by the department manager and store manager.
• Working on the checkout tills when relieving staff for breaks or when the store activity is busy.
• Working on the customer service desk.
• Dealing with customer queries and concerns and returns.
• Working alongside my department manager and store manager and being the link person for staff with management.
• Cash handling and monitoring of cash control.
• Ensuring that the front of house is prepared for the opening of the store and the closing of checkouts in the evenings.
• Working with security on the management of loss reporting and prevention.

• I worked in Subway as a sandwich maker. I learned food preparation and serving skills.
• I learned independent working skills as I would close the shop in the evenings ensuring all tasks were complete.
• I gained experience of working under pressure in a fast pace environment working with a small team.

• I worked in Mc Donalds as a general staff member.
• I worked alongside a large group of people.
• I learned new skills of health and safety in a food environment, cleaning skills, food preparation skills, cash handling and cash till operations and customer experience skills.

• Volunteering as administration staff at GP practice during the Covid mass vaccination clinics.
• My role included, checking in patients, preparation of documents and medical equipment, supervision of waiting periods for patients and reporting to practice manager.
