With over six years of post-internship experience in various hospitals across Pakistan and two years in Ireland, I have developed a strong foundation in clinical practice. I am currently seeking a Registrar position, motivated to contribute to the healthcare system in the Republic of Ireland. My future plan is to pursue both basic and higher specialty training in IrelandIn my current role, I undertake on-call duties at least twice a week, confidently managing a diverse array of cases under the guidance of senior specialists. In my role as a Senior House Officer and Registrar in General Medicine, I provided comprehensive care for inpatients across male and female wards, while also supporting outpatient departments in gastroenterology, geriatrics, respiratory medicine, and cardiology clinics. I served full-time in the Emergency Department, managing on-call responsibilities in both the ED and wards. My experience includes rotations in cardiology, respiratory medicine, general medicine, and endocrinology. I actively participated in weekly lectures and teaching sessions, conducted audits, and contributed to research initiatives, enhancing both my clinical skills and academic knowledge.
As a Registrar in Geriatric Medicine, I completed my rotations in Orthopedic Geriatric Medicine and Stroke Medicine. My responsibilities included planning and coordinating comprehensive care for elderly patients admitted with trauma, stroke, delirium, and dementia, focusing on meeting their long-term care needs, enhancing quality of life, and maintaining independence. I undertook full-time duties, including 12-hour on-call shifts as the first Registrar for stroke fast calls and managing medical emergencies in the geriatrics emergency department. My role involved outpatient clinics, providing geriatric consultations, and engaging in weekly teaching, journal clubs, and presentations. Additionally, I participated in weekly rotations at a rehabilitation center for orthopedic, geriatric patients.
As a Postgraduate Trainee under the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, I completed 1 year of my fellowship in Internal Medicine at Holy Family Hospital, a 1000-bedded tertiary care facility. My role involved comprehensive indoor and outdoor duties, assessing and managing a wide range of medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, endocrinological conditions, hematological issues, renal diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders. I underwent three-month rotations in Cardiology, ICU, and Respiratory Medicine. My responsibilities included teaching, conducting audits, and participating in research, alongside presenting weekly journal clubs and clinical cases, both short and long.
I worked as an Emergency Medical Officer, equivalent to a Senior House Officer role, where I managed a variety of emergency cases, including cardiovascular events, strokes, diabetic crises, hypertensive emergencies, and respiratory emergencies under the supervision of seniors.

I completed a one-year internship at Mayo Hospital Lahore, one of Pakistan's largest hospitals, founded in 1871 with 3,000 beds and affiliated with King Edward Medical University. Rotating through General Medicine, Pediatric Medicine, General Surgery, and Anesthesia/ICU, I gained hands-on experience in history taking, physical examinations, case presentations, and engaging in case discussions with senior physicians and medical specialists.
