Collecting Functional/Regression Scenarios: Gather a comprehensive list of functional and regression scenarios suitable for automation, ensuring coverage of critical test cases.
Estimation Planning: Prepare detailed estimation plans for automating the Functional/Regression Suite, considering factors such as complexity, scope, and resources required.
Regression Scenario Automation in TOSCA: Throughout the project, I utilized the TOSCA tool extensively to automate regression scenarios. Beginning with essential setup tasks such as tool installation and ensuring SQL Server repository access for both myself and the team, I established a solid foundation. Creating an Automation Test Framework within TOSCA, I aimed to streamline testing processes effectively. Working comprehensively with all modules of TOSCA, including Modules, Test Cases, Test Case Design, and Execution list, I strived for thorough testing coverage. Leveraging TOSCA's excel modules, I efficiently read test data from excel sheets, enabling seamless data-driven testing. Moreover, implementing DEX (Distributed Execution) setup in TOSCA allowed for the parallel execution of test cases, significantly reducing overall execution time. Lastly, I integrated Regression Pack execution results with qTest for enhanced test result management and reporting. Overall, these efforts optimized our regression testing process.
Reviewing Automated Test Scripts: Review and approve automated test scripts developed by the team, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and test coverage.
Progress Tracking: Monitor the team's progress in automating the Regression Pack, tracking milestones and deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
Task Allocation: Allocate daily tasks to team members, balancing workload and skillsets to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Sprint Activities Planning: Plan and implement all sprint activities as part of the Agile scrum process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with project milestones.
Regression Pack Execution Handling: Manage Regression Pack Execution requests as part of software releases, coordinating with stakeholders to prioritize and execute test cases effectively.
Release Plan Preparation: Prepare detailed plans for release executions, outlining testing strategies, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure smooth software deployments.
Execution Reporting: Generate comprehensive Execution Reports summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations, and communicate them to business stakeholders and clients.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to team members, offering guidance and assistance in resolving technical challenges encountered during test automation activities.
Team Status Presentation: Prepare weekly team status presentations (PPT) and present them to clients, showcasing progress, achievements, and upcoming milestones to ensure transparency and alignment with project goals.
