Experienced Early Childhood Educator with a rich history fostering children's development and inclusion, particularly those with autism and special needs. Currently undergoing the LINCS {Leadership for Inclusion in the Early Years, Mary Immaculate College, UL & Maynooth University). Level 6 Advanced Certificate Early Childhood Course included the Special Needs Assistant Course. Following this course, it prompted change to a more education directed childcare work in Montessori schools. Always striving to create a safe, educational environment, leveraging skills in autism, inclusion, sensory processing and child safeguarding to maximise students education. Eager for innovative activity planning to significantly enhance children's early education and inclusion experiences. Enthusiastic and creative individual with solid understanding of student development and learning styles. Career in working with children began with my privately run Day Care under direct guidance from Offaly County Childcare with continuous training from same. Supporting two autistic children, one of whom is non verbal with physical mobility disabilities including intimate personal care needs. Foremost an observer, unobtrusively yet carefully monitoring each child's development, recognising and interpreting each child's needs, promoting independent learning in a challenging and rewarding manner to suit the individual needs of the child. Provided a link between the child and the prepared environment, introducing the child to each piece of equipment when they are ready in a precise, clear and enticing way. Collaborate with the AIM support worker and children to provide safe and educational fun experience for all supporting identity and belonging. Engaging with family and community from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
