My name is Michael Anthony B. Lao with 12 years + of Nursing experience with specialty and certification in the field of Nephrology & Stroke.
I am a very skillful Nurse with affiliations to Recovery, Learning Disability, Bereavement, Falls Risk, Oral Health and Infection Prevention Control.
As a Qualified Staff Nurse having had the opportunity to work abroad at the Stroke Ward / Huggett's Suite in Lancaster, England, enabled me to take ownership of the holistic overall needs of patients. It broadened my point of view of how a multi-disciplinary approach of caring allowed me to safely and effectively contribute to quality care from admission, acute treatment, resolution of critical issues, rehabilitation and
discharge. I make it a habit to treat and respect everyone like family, making sure their needs are recognized and met, and above all making sure patients and their family members feel safe and comfortable all throughout their hospital stay.
In a daily basis, I work with a dedicated and passionate multi-disciplinary team coming together to achieve a common goal. I am a very skillful Nurse with a handful of affiliations that I believe can create/maintain a working environment centered around our trust's vision, mission and goals. We aim to accomplish this by creating a great place to be cared for and a great place to work.
I am interested in applying for Nursing jobs that will suite and enhance my profile as a Nurse. I have had the opportunity to shadow/learn, float & given the chance to act as clinical lead but my heart and mind is always geared to become a Nurse Practitioner someday.
If given the chance, I would like to talk more in detail why I believe I am suitable for a Nursing position in your institution. As I have shown the Ward my passion for service, hopefully you will see how they see in me.
