I would consider myself a team player who likes challenges and work well with colleagues . I take my role seriously and I am always looking to find the best solutions to resolve issues that I face on a daily basis as a representative.
I have worked as a taxi driver since 2002 to the present date working at Dublin Airport taxi rank and have been a representative of taxi drivers since prior to 2011 working closely with the Daa on our members behalf and also for improving all aspects of taxi operations at Dublin Airport through regular meetings between Daa and taxi reps .
Started in UPS as a motorcycle dispatch driver back in 1990 and went on to driving vans doing multi drop deliveries in County Monaghan which involved route planning that changed daily based on your deliveries . Became the union representative branch secretary for all ups staff in Ireland which included Cork and Dell Shannon and was fully trained for my role in the Communications workers Union in which we in ups were a branch of The CWU .
Worked for first direct which was formerly Brief Couriers for 8 years as a motorcycle courier doing multi drop deliveries
I have been a representative in my current taxi industry and previous role in UPS and completed full training for being a branch Secretary in the communications workers union and also attended and completed labour relations Committee cases as well as additional courses such as diversity and equality
