Operations Manager

  • Managing, monitoring and developing a team of 50+ associates spread across 5 x departments & 2 countries
  • Management of high value pharmaceutical life saving shipments, exports and imports with focus on secure/tamper proof on time deliveries

Major Achievements within World Courier (Cencora)

  • Increased World Courier Ireland’s customer billing from 9 Million to 22 Million in a period of 3 years achieving my personal goals set by the company 2 years earlier than expected.
  • During the pandemic managed the distribution of 1.5 million vaccines and 800,000 consumables globally on behalf of the HSE.
  • Onboarding of a new cell and gene therapy client to the Irish market, managing all their requirements associated with their high value pharmaceutical life saving shipments, helping to save the lives of 100+ babies who had the illness Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
  • Implemented Real Time location tracking system for all clients globally.
  • Operational excellence managing World Courier Ireland to the companies lowest Internal audit score recorded globally.
  • Awarded the companies POP (Persuit of Purpose) award 2023 for outstanding contribution to the company.

Major Achievements within XPO

  • I was a key part in the smooth transition and integration of the new French business in 2014, maximising the potential of the OTM system, building working relationships with the new customer and new carriers and also creating working SOP's to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
  • In early 2016, XPO faced major challenges when new LTL business was introduced without either the personnel or procedures in place. I quickly took up the challenges we faced, building working relationships with our customer and new carriers and also creating working SOP's to ensure smooth running of the operation. I successfully managed the new business that was required along with keeping the service levels of our current business, while successfully managing a number of new employees who joined the company.
  • In 2017, I managed the changeover to a new planning system WTS, while still maintaining our service level for current business and ensured the smooth running of the operation and also successfully managed the training and integration of a number of new employees throughout the year.
  • In 2018 – The General Manager of our company left her position after 20 years, I was asked to replace her on an acting General Manager role as well as continuing my current roles, I successfully transitioned into the new role and for the 8 month period I covered these duties there was no disruption to our customer and I ensured a smooth running of the business as a whole.
