
For the last 28 years, since a career break following the birth of our first child, all of my work has been focused on outdoor activities combined with the necessary associated paper work.
I have had a lifelong interest in our wildlife and am fairly good at identifying nearly all of it except insects, simply too many!
I have held many positions in the organisation, including Director 10 years, Company Secretary 6 years, PRO 5 years to present.
I have taken part in the organisation of interview processes for our contract workers and in the interviews themselves.
I run full hands-on training courses for the organisation, and I give hedgerow walks and talks to the public both on-line and on-site on behalf of Hedgerows Ireland
Leading on all aspects of the individual surveys. Choosing the date, recruiting volunteers, liaising with Irish Ferries, carrying out the survey, instructing and training the volunteers, writing a report of the survey and submitting the data to the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group.
Won the Contractor class at the All-Ireland Hedgelaying Championship in 2013.
