Galway, Ireland

The charitable Monster Organic Ball was set up in response to the AIDS crisis sweeping through ethiopia at the time. It was centered on a 100% donation model, meaning every single cent generated from ticket sales went directly to the AIDS Partnership with Africa (APA). The organizers partnered with corporate sponsors to completely cover the party's overhead costs, ensuring guest entry fees directly funded humanitarian relief.

Rebuilt lives of orphans by funding safe emergency shelters, street outreach programs, and social workers to rescue children from streets, locate extended family, resettle them into stable homes, and facilitate their return to school.

At the time, Africa was home to an estimated 18 million children orphaned by the disease. The ball's proceeds funded safe emergency shelters, street-outreach programs, and social workers. A primary goal was to rescue children living on the streets, locate surviving extended family members, resettle them into stable homes, and pay for their return to school.

2. Breaking the Cycle of Infection

The charity actively worked to stop what its founder, Fr. Owen Lambert, described as a "slow progressive tsunami". Funds were channeled into local community education programs designed to raise awareness about how the virus spreads, dismantle deep-seated social stigmas, and advocate for public healthcare reforms.

Delivered medical care to families affected by AIDS in rural communities, alleviating suffering while funding community-based development projects to lift families out of extreme poverty.

Because AIDS heavily impacted the working-age population, it routinely trapped entire families in extreme poverty. The charity used the donations to provide medical care for those suffering from the treatable virus, while simultaneously funding community-based development projects in heavily affected nations like Ethiopia and Tanzania to lift families out of destitution.
