- This was a difficult time for my family as we saw her decline rapidly
- Feeling hopeless, I challenged myself to become certified as a pet therapy handler and I wanted to start making an impact as soon as possible
- It was challenging, even stressful at times and it took some time to get comfortable in the environment but eventually it became a joy in my life

- I spent 50 hours a week for six weeks at Mill Mountain Theatre where I collaborated with many different people to build or create something new everyday
- My fondest memory of my time there was having the opportunity to build a mechanism that looked like a reel-to-reel tape recorder for an upcoming show with a group
- This was difficult since I had never had the opportunity to think outside the box and was almost like solving a puzzle
- Nonetheless, my partner and I successfully made our reel-to-reel
