- Grew up on our family farm and always helped out from a young age. Working on our family farm gave me so much insight to daily problems which needed to be solved acutely with animals, machinery & buildings. Every day involved something which need to be repaired.
- Working on the farm I experienced working with animals, driving/operating machinery, milked herd, helped carrying out herd tests etc. Also I learned so many other skills in trades such as welding, carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, roofing, tiling etc.
- I have a passion for fixing/making things. I do all routine work such as oil service on my own car, I often make and sell handcrafted tables, out of recycled scaffolding boards and box steel.
- Working on a farm has made me a very capable, hardworking man and extremely good at problem solving.

WORK GOALS & AMBITIONS
As a 2nd year Architectural Technology student I am longing to gain insight and experience and hope to get a head start in the industry which I look forward to be working full time. It would be very beneficial to me to gain experience in the industry and more appropriate for me to work in my field of choice. I am a fast learner, great team worker and eager to work closely with a hard working team in the industry. I understand I am not yet fully qualified but I can offer my current skills to assist/help the completion of projects in this very busy industry. The construction sector at this time is rapidly rising and there is a significant shortage of various ........ in the construction industry. No job would be to small or large as I would appreciate the opportunity and would be happy to gain experience in your company while you also gain assistance/help to get your team to meet deadlines with plans, drawings, projects etc.
Previous to my Architecture Technolog Degree I did 2 years of Engineering in UCC and these 2 years of studying has benefited me hugely in my current degree in MTU.
I am eager to get ahead and gain some real life experience in the field of my choice to gain a better understanding of the construction sector. I am flexible to assist in any role available.
Presently I am available for approximately 25 to 30 hours per week and will be available full time from mid May to Sept. Also I am due to have a 6 week work placement through college should this situation suit your company.
