I am currently responsible for providing direction and overseeing 5 development teams for our Longboat product.
Although I have taken on more management tasks, I still li work closely with the Engineers, and with the code.
I continue to be heavily involved in architecture and technical issues.
Our applications are built in Ruby On Rails, and I have been involved in all aspects of development and Architecture of the Longboat application from the initial coding to scaling of a large codebase.
The Longboat application was initially a small startup project and is now deployed by many of the world's biggest Pharmacuetical companies.
I worked as the technical lead on the Fidelity Charitable Next Generation team, I was responsible for designing and developing new features for the business owners.
This involves working closely with Management, Product Owners, Business Analysts and Architects to ensure that software is delivered to a high quality, and to tight deadlines using an Agile approach.
I was involved in the design and implementation of the core architecture that uses REST based services that service html clients as well as mobile applications.
I worked on all aspects of the development and architecture of Teamer from the Database/System layer through to the User Interface built in HTML/CSS/jQuery.
I have also been solely responsible for the implementation of the Teamer iPhone app in Objective C, as well as the corresponding REST API built in Rails.
I was the lead developer on the Android app written in Java, that also integrates with the REST API.
Worked as part of the games development team and over the course of a year I worked on 3 different games.
For the first 6 months of the year I was the lead developer on legendsofzork.com a Ruby On Rails online browser game.
For the last six months I worked on a number of new games written in Python using both the Pylons and CherryPy frameworks.
Working as part of the core Java development team, I was responsible for developing, deploying and unit testing the middle layer and backend systems for AOL’s Money and Finance product which caters for over 20 million internet users.
My main responsibility during my time at AOL has been to develop a framework to interface to various backend feeds and Webservices in Java and to implement a distributed, multi server, caching system in C/C++ that handles all user profiles.
I worked as part of the Front Office Research and Development team and was responsible for developing, deploying and supporting trade decision making software systems for Traders using C++, Java and VB.
My main responsibility during my time at Pioneer was to develop a set of Time Series Analysis tools in order to identify market opportunities.
This role involved the development and support of Imagines UNIX based C++ API.
The API allowed clients to programmatically add functionality and financial pricing models to the existing risk/trading system as well as interface with other systems.
My responsibilities involved the design and implementation of financial pricing and risk models in C++.
