I have completed in the finals of the National Apprenticeship competition as a young man and have been an assistant team leader to the Irish apprenticeship team that competed in both Abu Dhabi 2007 and Kazan (Russia) 2009
I have also studied innovation management, learning difficulties of apprentices, quality systems and project management as part
of my honours degree in training and education.
I am an enthusiastic individual skilled in productive teamwork. I have been successful in bringing many projects from inception to completion.
I am chairperson of the Glanmire Area Community Association.
My experience of achieving stakeholder focus is varied and comprehensive. These experiences include voluntary civic / social activities, to running my own business, from working as a manager in the private sector to teaching in the public sector .
