- Ensure all drawings are reviewed with the project team before being issued to the architect to ensure compatibility with production / Schuco / Alucraft established design principles
- Manage cost control with each designer to ensure budgets are being maintained. (Budget figures, handover files estimating sketches to be sourced from Estimating and filed in a cost control file)
- Record & document information flow (design reports, drawing registers, RFIs, forward loads, cutting lists)
- Assist and train graduates, interns and less experienced designers in our methodologies & systems
- Provide information to our internal customer / colleagues in an agreed manner to allow them use the information and work to the overall programme
- Keep up to date with and implement new technology
- Communicate difficulties experienced in the design process that will affect the programme of works with the Contract Manager
