I am writing to apply for the position of Council Tenancy Officer. I have been working for Essex County Council for [number] years and have a strong track record of success in managing people, dealing with house and other support networks.
In my previous role as a trainee Social Worker at Essex County Council , I was responsible for managing a caseload with the children's and adult social care.
I have a proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including tenants, landlords, and other agencies through my work in Essex Legal Services and Social care.
I am also skilled in problem-solving and negotiation, and I have an understanding of housing through my work as a Deputy Case Worker.
I am particularly interested in working as a council tenancy officer because I am passionate about helping people to find and maintain secure and affordable housing. I am also keen to work in a role where I can make a positive contribution to the community.
I am confident that I have the transferrable skills and experience necessary to be successful in this role. I am a highly motivated and organised individual with a strong work ethic.
I am also a team player and I am able to work independently and this has been evidenced in my caseload management of people through my work as a trainee social worker.
Working within the team, organising payments from our business debit
card. Working alongside caseworkers and paralegals to take on work.
Assisting vulnerable adults who lack mental capacity and to act in their best interest and on their behalf.
Maintaining confidential records, handling of clients' money, meeting and greeting clients and reporting to the case manager. Liaising with external agencies, support staff, Social Workers and supporting the case workers in their day to day duties.
Undertaking training improving my knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act. Attending team meetings and contributing to the development of my work and day to day tasks.
