Major developments during my tenure included the initial government decision to establish an independent electoral commission. The scoping of the powers, role, and function of such a commission, and the holding of plebiscites in three local authorities for the creation of the roles of Directly Elected Mayors of local authorities.

Directed public consultations to gather feedback on proposed policies, ensuring democratic engagement and transparency.
