I am a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with over 3 years experience working in various healthcare settings throughout Wexford Mental Health services, ranging from acute inpatient wards to dual diagnosis residential units. For the past 12 months I have been working in a day hospital in North Wexford where my role involves monitoring the mental health of service users living in the community. Working in this clinical setting has enabled me to deliver holistic patient care, as part of a community mental health MDT, through the delivery of both group and one on one therapy sessions. Having gained invaluable experience over the years I pride myself in being adaptive with a willingness to learn new skills, a people person, a logical problem solver, and most importantly a team player with strong communication skills. I have a good knowledge of mental health disorders and how to apply such knowledge in practice while considering cultural sensitivity and ensuring compassion with service users.
