Duties include:

  • Educate visitors of Dublin Zoo about its ethos, our worldwide conservation partners, and breeding program's.
  • Engage with visitors in the Discovery and Learning Centre, offering interactive learning zones using biofacts, such as skulls, furs, insects, and plants to excite visitors.
  • Passionately speak as an animal ambassador at allocated habitats. Engaging with visitors to promote the animal, its adaptations, its conservation threats and what we do to help.
  • Operate discovery carts stationed throughout the zoo and facilitate learning areas around the zoo using artefacts and interactive games.
  • Assist with seasonal visitor events, activities, and theme-based animal weekends.
  • Assisting the animal care team with observation when required
  • Assisting the Discovery and Learning team with a variety of administration tasks, when required.
  • Communicate regularly with all relevant departments, regarding health & safety concerns that may arise throughout the zoo.
  • Adhere to Dublin Zoos policies and procedures.
