• Supports the lab's quality management system by ensuring that working practice is in line with ISO17025 standards.
• Works as part of the Illumina team and carries out assays on various animal sample types including bovine, equine, ovine, goat and shrimp.
• Has experiencing in preparing and extracting DNA from hair, nasal swabs, ear tags, blood and semen using techniques such as the Oktopure and single Qiagens.
• Processes samples and complete test methods in the necessary timeframe to ensure that required turnaround times for reporting results are achieved.
