A 22 year old second year student in University of Limerick studying Food science and Human Nutrition looking for part – time work during the Summer of 2024. I have over two years of experience in the food and beverage industry and I am looking to turn this into a viable career path to continue working on my passion of Food chemistry and technology. I am hard – working and reliable with an aptitude to learn.
Traveled to Ontario, Canada in June of last year and worked as a counsellor at Camp Kodiak, which is a family run business who specialize in giving kids with autism, brain injuries or various learning disabilities the facilities to have an amazing camp experience, while providing them with the necessary support systems to achieve their desired goals.
During this time, along with my co-counselors, I was responsible for the well-being and general safety of the children and was constantly learning on the job in terms of delegating tasks and knowing which campers needed extra attention. Furthermore, I created an environment of routine and structure within our cabin which was essential to the success of our group’s development. Finally, I organized and planned academic and social activities for campers of nine to twenty years of age.
