Holly McHugh

A highly motivated and enthusiastic person with a BSc degree in Microbiology. Adaptable and efficient team member with an ability to work on own initiative. Experience working in retail and hospitality sectors which has enabled the development of excellent organizational, communication, and people skills. Having graduated from the University of Galway with second class honors, I believe I have the right qualifications and ability's to thrive within a quality role in the pharmaceutical sector.

• Posses 3 medals from the Irish board of speech and drama upon passing exams with honors.
• Received a First-Class honors in my final year thesis on Investigating the influence of antibiotic resistance on susceptibility to blue light killing in uropathogenic Escherichia coli: towards a novel treatment for urinary tract infections.
• Carried out lab demonstrating for 2nd year microbiology students in University of Galway for the first eight weeks of 2023. Tasks included: guiding the students through the experiments (which consisted of water quality testing using Colisure kits and via membrane filtration, biochemical testing, and MIC tests), helping students use the equipment correctly, assisting the students in analyzing their results, and advising students on how to correctly record their results in their day books.
