  • Aided in the training of dogs just starting their training as autism assistance dogs for My Canine Companion.
  • Trained dogs to be comfortable walking on a leash, to behave in public crowded areas and to be calm around people.
  • Worked alongside dogs with behavioural issues, helping them to cope and behave in new environments e.g. busy streets, pedestrian crossings etc.
  • Made sure that dogs were fed following their individual nutritional needs.
  • Sterilized and cleaned the kennels and living areas, to ensure that the dogs are living in sanitary conditions.
  • Washed, brushed and dried dogs to maintain their hygiene and wellbeing.

  • Responsible for cleaning surgical instruments and ensuring that workspace was kept tidy
  • Took care of animal patients in kennels, ensuring that they were well looked after and that their needs were met.

  • Restrained animals whilst veterinary nurse took blood samples.
  • Assisted in weighing animals before their procedures.
