∙ I work on a one to five nurse to patient ratio

∙ Perform a wide range of nursing duties as a registered nurse

supporting medical staff and providing safe effective patient care

using professional knowledge and skills in accordance with

hospital policy

∙ Prepare the unit for admission and performing admission

procedure with proper history collection, checking the availability

of necessary equipment's and admission screening

∙ Assisted patients with bathing dressing maintaining personal

hygiene, moving in bed and standing and walking

∙ Ensure documentation is correct accurate timely and maintains

confidentiality with in a legal and ethical frame work

∙ Provide patients and families with emotional support and

contributes to care planning, involving patients and demonstrate

and understanding of patients rights to make informed decisions

∙ Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams such as physical,

occupational and speech therapists and investigate the social

circumstances of patient for discharge planning

∙ Evaluate patient outcomes and document effectiveness of planned

and implemented interventions and strategies in relation to the

plan of care with in time frames

∙ Equipment Handled: ECG machines, Syringe pump and infusion

pumps, Glucometer, BI - pap ventilation, O2 therapy device,

Nebulizer, Defibrillator

• Ensuring that hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered to patients correctly
• Monitoring patients during dialysis treatment to identify any adverse reactions
• Preparing and updating nursing care plans
• Promptly notifying the appropriate medical practitioner of any problems that occur during dialysis treatments
• Working with the dialysis technicians to ensure that dialysis machines and equipment are set up correctly
• Teaching patients and their family members how to operate home dialysis machines should they decide on home dialysis therapy
• Educating patients on dialysis treatment options, kidney disease management as well as suitable nutrition and exercise regimens
