  • Class teacher from September 2023-present, CID holder.
  • September 2023-June 2024: Junior Infants SET teacher. This role included withdrawal and in-class support of small groups and 1:1 sessions with pupils, focusing on fine motor skills and early literacy and phonics instruction, emotional and social regulation and focus on gross motor skills. In-class initiatives included Literacy Lift Off and Happy Talk (Happy Talk Champion 2024-2025). This role involved working closely and liaising with two Junior Infants class teachers, parents, occupational therapists and psychologists, hearing specialists, etc., and creating new Student Support Files for this caseload.
  • September 2024-June 2025: 2nd Class Mainstream Teacher. This role involved close liaison with the school's Nurture Room team during the year, for pupils with emotional challenges as well as educational psychologists, parents, principal and SET team for a small cohort of students experiencing difficulties. This role also involved preparing pupils for their First Holy Communion.
  • September 2025-June 2026: Autism Class Teacher (6th Class). This role involved supporting 6 6th class pupils in the Cairde Autism class, before they prepare for transitioning to secondary school. This role involved liaising with secondary school staff members and preparing these pupils socially and emotionally for secondary school. This role involved working with pupils with Oppositional Defiance Disorder and considerable social and emotional regulation needs.
  • In Term 3 I also completed a short-term SET role across 1st-5th class as well as a short redeployment of SET hours to Scoil Maria Assumpta girl's school.
  • Extra-curricular: Homework Club teacher, assisting with Culture Day, and Lego Club.
