- I worked for phoenix mechanical every summer and any holidays from school for the past 3 years preforming a range of tasks, some assisted by a senior apprentice or tradesman. These tasks included sorting out the phoenix mechanical stores which helped me get a good understanding of different types of fittings and pipe. When I received my safe pass I was then allowed to help out on site. My main tasks were getting fittings for the tradesmen/apprentices and cleaning up work areas and making sure all plant was back in the sitebox. I then progressed to doing brackets using unistrut, square washers, rod and mupros. Through working with the tradesmen onsite I witnessed a lot of different systems, Heating, water, waste and dry risers. I cant pretend to have a vast knowledge on these as I only helped.
